At around 4am, with a nice tail wind, the crew decided to skip Little Dume and head straight to Palos Verdes. The decision seemed like a good idea at the time. Until the sun rose, the wind stopped and a fog bank moved in. This is Morat and OJ, shortly before the group was splintered in fog. (photo: Dawe)
Hours later, Lauren and Catherine Clark, absolutely exhausted after peddling for hours and hours. Fog separated the group and things got serious - for a while. By days' end, the group were on the water for 17 hours. (photo: Dawe)
