Sea Shepherd’s Ocean Rendezvous

Environmental campaigners Chris Del Moro (San Diego, USA) and pro surfer Dave Rastovich (Brunswick Heads, AUS) are dwarfed by the bulk of the Sea Shepherd’s “Steve Irwin” during their rendezvous near Northern NSW on the weekend.
The pair are among a group participating in the Transparentsea voyage by sea from Byron Bay to Sydney.

October 4th, 2009 at 9:15 pmHi Dave; with you in spirit. Sat out off Palm Beach on my ski today, alongside 2 adult and 2 baby whales, rolling and slapping their fins. Amazing creatures. Fortunately they changed course and headed out to sea before coming in contact with the disgusting shark nets. Then I paddled home collecting debris from the creek. Must be a family thing
